Generation Future

A meeting about children’s rights with UNICEF at Schloss Bellevue

On January 29, 2019 PxP Embassy’s founders Fetsum and Teddy Tewelde visited Schloss Bellevue to attend UNICEF New Year’s meeting: “Generation Future.” The gathering was themed to the needs of children and young people, as part of the United Nation’s 2019’s focus on the Rights of the Child.

On the invitation of Elke Büdenbender, the spouse of the federal president and a patron of UNICEF Germany, experts in development and humanitarian aid, from organizations and associations, from politics, business, and other parts of society gathered to explore this topic as part of UNICEF’s traditional New Year’s meeting.

Our founders exchanged ideas and spread the word about the PxP Embassy’s “A.C.E 3 Programs,” which are paving the way for a peaceful future by empowering children through empathy and education. It was eye-opening hearing new perspectives on this vital topic, and underscored the urgent need for our work, which is funded in part by the proceeds from our flagship project, the PxP Festival. A highlight of the meeting was hearing Julia Engelmann’s slam poetry, ending the day with a plea to give young people the chance to fulfill their potential and become who they are meant to be.
